About me
Jara Guinea Pigs Is situated in Johannesburg South Africa and started breeding about three years ago with Peruvian and Abyssinian.
We have grown to including Rex and Sheltie, also Texel and Al Paca. We also have smooth coats here in SA and they are bred in all colours including Himalayan and Dutch. These are the only breeds available here in South Africa.
It was not long until we identified the need to establish some form of Pedigree database here in South Africa. That is when we became involved in the establishing of the South African Guinea Pig register.
We currently have over 200 pigs registered here in SA and we hold two shows a year. Still very early days...
