i put my guinea pig with a male on 22nd of Oct but she hasnt had her litter yet. should we be concerned? she doesnt seem to be in destress. its her second litter. her first litter was normal. can anyone give me some advice? thanks
It can take up to 2 weeks or more for a sow to get pregnant and sometimes they don't take at all.
Has her water intake increased? Is her body more pear shaped? Can you feel any movement in her belly when you hold her? I usually know that once I feel the "quickning" or movement that they will be giving birth in about 2 weeks give or take.

As long as the sow is eating, drinking and acting normal I never worry. Do you even know if she is pregnant yet? Sometime it takes a while.
